As I've stated before, the Mick Sinatra saga is my favorite of the entire series of mob bosses. I enjoyed this book so much. It kept me on edge. Who was handing Mick his a** like this? Hoods more afraid of some other boss rather than Mick? Great plot, excellent pace, good development of all the characters, even if they had a very limited part, and I was pleased with the length of the book.Now, for my absolute favorite part of the book...Mick's handling of Gloria and Will! Sometimes a story confrontation like that will have an anti-climatic resolution, but I should have known that Ms. Monroe was going vintage Mick on us! I was shocked when he beat Gloria down, whipping a grown woman like that? Then I thought about my Mom when I was that age. Sass her if you dared.....you would be looking for ice and a towel pretty soon, lol. I am also enjoying the development of Teddy. Thanks for another roller coaster ride with the Sinatras! Oh one more thing...thanks for the explanation of why Mick dresses the way he does when he's about to take care of business.

Another one out the park!! MicK Sinatra and family are complex, loving and dangerous!!! There is constant danger and suspense but somehow they seem to handle it every time. Now baby sister is on the scene and she is the female version of her big brother!!! I cannot wait for the next updates, so many stories within this family and the newest addition adds a entire new level of complexity!!! Awesome job sweetie..loved it!!!
Love me some Mick!!! Rosalind and Mick along w/the rest of the Sinatra clan is another romantic/ gangster favorite within the Mallory Monroe series I love to read. Once I start I can't put it down until it's finished. Another KUDOS/5 stars to MM.
I chose this rating because this character always have you sitting on the edge of your sit. This book is no exception to the rule. What I don't like about this book is all good things come to an end. I love Mick and Charles have a sister. I don't like Joey still struggling with he's place in the family and in business. I would love for Roz to have another baby down the line for Gloria and Teddy to have steady relationships. That's my wish list for Mick and Roz for now. Til next time. Bye.
Let me just say from the start that I love Mick and Roz! This book had me on pond and needles. Someone is always gunning for Mick and his fan, but The Tick takes care of his family. Lol. Amelia is becoming one of my favorites, definitely a female Mick so Hamilton better watch out. I need a book with those two. I want to know their story. Gloria better be careful that she does not become the female Jimmy Mack. Love the book and ready for the next release.
Wow, there's always plenty of excitement and drama with this Sinatra family. Poor Joey, he just wants to be loved and recognised as a productive member of his family. What Amelia did really touched his heart.
Mick still isn't taking crap from his children, not even Gloria, his favorite. I was surprised when Mick punished Gloria the way he did when she came clean with the plot to take over S.I.
I just love how much Mick loves Roz. It's so heartwarming to read how much that big bad mob boss loves his wife and is not afraid to show it. But, the events in this story has him questioning why he brought kids in this world, because he was a horrible father to his first set of kids. He was so grateful and Blessed to have Roz in his life to help guide him in getting it right with their twins.
As usual, Mallory had me scratching my head trying to figure out who was behind the latest plot. I'm so glad Amelia did not turn out to be the usurper. As usual, the plot thickens in the epilogue. That's an interesting turn of events.
As I read this book, I kept waiting for something to blow open. Even after the murders started happening, I kept waiting. For Mick, it appeared those murders were puzzling. All his children had pretty good parts in the book. After Amelia shows up and he calls "Big Daddy", I think finally, Mick has it figured out. He hadn't and I thought he didn't have it anymore and I thought "Mick Lite". I was so disappointed but then realized that "Mick Lite" was still better than anyone else so I kept reading. Oh, how wrong was I! Not only had Mick not lost an inch, but Amelia brought it just as hard as Mick. The end of the book had me laughing out loud. If Ms. Monroe doesn't hurry and write another book with Amelia, Hamilton and all the Sinatras and Gabrinis, I'm going gangsta on her. I'll ask some of her other rabid fans to dress in black turtlenecks, black pants and long white coats. Ms. Monroe, you know what that means.
